Job summary

Woodland Presbyterian School in Memphis seeks a full-time, 12-month Director of Auxiliary Programs to lead after-school care and summer programming, reporting to the Administrative Team. The role focuses on ensuring programs are well-organized, financially sound, and responsive to students and families while aligning with Woodland’s mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of professional experience.
• Demonstrates integrity, discretion, sound judgment, and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent analytical, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating after-school and summer staff.
• Proficiency with technology and school administrative systems.
• Experience in independent or mission-driven schools preferred.
• Ability to build positive relationships with teachers, families, and community partners.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement high-quality after-school and summer programs.
• Manage day-to-day operations, including scheduling, staffing, communication, and logistics.
• Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate after-school care and summer program staff.
• Evaluate program effectiveness, enrollment, staffing, and financial performance and make recommendations for improvement.
• Coordinate with faculty to ensure programs complement Woodland’s academic and co-curricular offerings.
• Maintain budgets, financial controls, and procedures to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Communicate effectively with parents about programs, schedules, policies, and matters.
• Ensure that programs provide a safe, welcoming, engaging environment for students.
• Build and maintain relationships with community partners supporting the programs.
• Collaborate with the Head of School on strategic direction of auxiliary programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of School.
