A healthcare consultancy firm is seeking a Director to lead client engagement and performance improvement projects. The role involves managing client relationships, overseeing project profitability, and participating in business development initiatives. Candidates should have over 7 years of experience in healthcare finance and a Bachelor's degree. This position is remote with significant travel requirements.
The Director works collaboratively within a team of highly qualified Advisory consultants to deliver performance improvement to healthcare. This position will be primarily responsible for performing billable work for clients. The Director provides leadership by driving engagement results, managing client relationships, engagement resources, client deliverables and solutions, implementation, risks and issues, project logistics and economics, and supporting business development opportunities. The Director oversees projects of all sizes and durations, ensuring quality of results, profitability, and customer satisfaction. The Director delivers consulting services while supervising, mentoring, and developing staff and serves as a subject matter expert on projects as needed. This position participates in sales and business development activities including sales calls, RFP responses, oral presentations, statements of works preparation, etc. The Director collaborates with and develops strong client relationships across all levels of the client organization including clinical staff, physicians, and administrative leadership to meet deliverables.
The Director is required to participate and lead Premier internal activities including practice development and approved educational opportunities throughout the year, and to learn the various technologies Premier offers to its clients. Additionally, the Director should:
Maintain utilization targets for client billable projects.
Create value through meaningful client relationship management, solution development and implementation delivery.
Foster a productive and collaborative team environment by enriching staff skills and knowledge.
Contribute to the Advisory practice by participating in activities aimed at growing the Practice as a whole or individual Service Lines.
Actively participate in add-on sales activities and new sales business development opportunities.
Responsibility #1 – X%
Execute/direct/oversee data analyses, interpretations, and presentations, ensuring professional quality and alignment with project objectives and standards. Perform quality assurance on deliverables.
Help determine client needs by leading client interviews and using analytical tools; summarize findings and develop conclusions and recommendations for client reviews.
Effectively execute project plans in accordance with engagement statements of work and client satisfaction.
Guide the team in developing presentations and deliverables for client audiences that communicate strategy and outcomes.
Generate billings revenue by leading engagements in project delivery.
Guide and lead project management activities for assigned projects.
Manage budget and expenses for assigned projects and oversee project profitability.
Manage staff assigned to projects, providing mentoring and education.
Participate in risk and issue identification and mitigation with the project leadership team.
Identify opportunities for add-on sales and communicate them to engagement leadership, participating in closing activities.

Actively listen for market opportunities on current engagements and collaborative networks, communicating potential leads to managers.
Contribute to the development of sales presentation deliverables using prescribed formats and technology; proactively seek opportunities to participate.
Identify opportunities to improve profitability.

Complete all required training on an annual basis.
Assist in developing training materials for the practice in areas of expertise.
Work Experience: 7 or more years
Education: Bachelors (Required)

Skills:
Coordinate and deliver effective presentations to client audiences to communicate project outcomes, recommendations, and strategy
Oversee quality assurance of analytics and mentor others in delivery of client deliverables
Relate to clients and team members in an effective and collaborative manner
Lead work groups to successful outcomes
Demonstrated depth of knowledge in a specific area of expertise (Subject Matter Expert)
Experience:
Experience in Health Systems Finance, Operations, Strategic Planning or Decision Support Analytics
Qualitative analysis and strategic problem-solving skills
Experience leading cross-functional teams
Education:
Master’s Degree; RN or other professional license in clinical area of expertise; PMP/Lean Certification

Working Conditions: Remote. Travel 81-100% within the US. Physical Demands: Sedentary work description as provided. Premier’s compensation philosophy is to ensure compensation is reasonable, equitable, and competitive. Internal salary range for this role is $141,000 - $234,000, with final salary based on market factors.
