Job summary

The Portland VA Medical Center, in partnership with Oregon Health & Science University, seeks a Medical Director of Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging. This role targets early to mid-career cardiologists with fellowship training in advanced imaging (CT/CMR/Nuclear) to lead and grow a collaborative program.

You will receive mentorship, hold an academic appointment at OHSU, and teach fellows while developing an imaging-focused clinical and research agenda in a veteran-forward environment.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease.
• Fellowship in advanced cardiovascular imaging is preferred.
• Strong interest in program leadership and imaging leadership track.

Responsibilities

• Direct and grow the advanced cardiovascular imaging program (CMR, CT, Nuclear Cardiology).
• Provide mentorship and structured development for early career faculty.
• Teach fellows and residents from OHSU and partners.
• Engage in research, quality improvement and health systems innovation.
• Oversee clinical responsibilities in outpatient/inpatient cardiology services.
