Director & Actuary, IL Pricing (M&A Solutions)

Position Overview

This Director & Actuary position plays a significant role in evaluating and pricing M&A and block reinsurance opportunities. Specifically, this position helps run and analyze output from asset intensive deal models, and assists the lead pricing actuaries by setting and peer reviewing assumptions used to price the various opportunities. This position requires substantial technical expertise and developing knowledge of individual life insurance and asset intensive reinsurance.

Your Role:

Support the evaluation, structuring and pricing of M&A and block reinsurance opportunities:

  • Perform diligence on appraisal and other process documents
  • Develop pricing assumptions to provide appropriate views into the performance of the subject business
  • Use asset intensive deal models to assist in analyzing various opportunities
  • Run AXIS pricing model projections, analyze and summarize results

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Mathematics, Accounting
  • 8+ years actuarial employment in the life insurance/reinsurance industry
  • Pricing and product development experience required
  • Experience working with a modeling software and interpreting results
  • Moody’s Axis experience preferred

For New York City based employees, thebase salary range anticipated for this position is $176,532 to $246,585, plus an opportunity for an annual company bonus based upon a percentage of eligible pay.
