Title: Director, Actuarial Services - MSSP

Location: Remote

Type: FTE

Salary: $180,000-$220,000 + Bonus

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Monthly Forecasting:
  Develop and manage monthly financial forecasts by analyzing trends in utilization, revenue, and cost across MSSP populations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business goals and strategy.
  
• IBNR & Financial Projections:
  Perform accurate IBNR (Incurred But Not Reported) calculations and generate financial projections to support planning, reporting, and risk management.
  
• Data Analysis & Insight Translation:
  Partner with analytic teams to review large data sets, extract key insights, and present actionable summaries for leadership and operational decision-making.
  
• Budgeting & Planning:
  Own the biannual budgeting process (typically October and January), building detailed financial models to guide strategy and support long-term planning.
  
• Support Business Development:
  Work closely with growth and sales teams to provide actuarial input on new business opportunities, including financial modeling and scenario analysis.
  
• Collaborate with Providers & Partners:
  Serve as a strategic partner to internal teams, external providers, and business stakeholders-ensuring alignment on goals and communicating complex actuarial concepts clearly.
  
• Drive Cross-Functional Communication:
  Act as a bridge between actuarial, clinical, operational, and executive teams-translating financial and actuarial work into strategic insights that support the broader mission.

What We're Looking For:

• 8+ years of actuarial experience, preferably in value-based care or government programs
  
• ASA or FSA designation (FSA strongly preferred)
  
• Deep expertise in MSSP
  
• Hands-on experience with forecasting and financial modeling
  
• Strong background in reserving/IBNR calculations
  
• Experience with ACO REACH
  
• Exceptional analytical and modeling skills
  
• Excellent communication skills
