Role

We are looking for a Director, Accounts to join our rapidly growing team of college and youth marketing enthusiasts. As a Director, Accounts, you will own the strategic direction, client relationship, and business performance of key client accounts, playing a key leadership role in all disciplines from strategic development to execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own a deep understanding of each client’s business, marketing goals, and program objectives, using that knowledge to guide account strategy, strengthen the client relationship, and identify growth opportunities
  • Serve as the senior strategic and planning lead for assigned clients, guiding audience strategy, communication planning, and integrated solutions specific to NEXT GEN·TEAM access points
  • Set the standard for high-quality client service and delivery, ensuring teams understand expectations and consistently deliver work that reflects NEXT GEN·TEAM standards
  • Effectively lead and guide cross-functional teams internally and externally in a systematic, organized, and motivated manner to develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns
  • Oversee the analysis and synthesis of qualitative and quantitative program data, ensuring reporting clearly demonstrates performance, informs optimization, and supports future client recommendations
  • Proactively identify areas of organic growth within assigned accounts through program performance, consumer insights, client feedback, and ongoing dialogue with client stakeholders
  • Develop and share best practices across the Client Services team and broader agency to improve consistency, collaboration, and client delivery
  • Actively manage account-level financial health, including GPM goals, resourcing, operational budgets, staffing needs, and profitability considerations
  • Oversee the development, management, and reconciliation of project-based budgets to achieve target profitability and ensure efficient use of resources
  • Forecast program financials to support current delivery, future growth, and proactive client planning
  • Lead new business development from a Client Services perspective, including client strategy, relationship management, creative development, sales operations, and budget development
  • Identify and develop business and product opportunities that help the agency expand, diversify its roster, and grow its capabilities
  • Positively contribute to agency culture by creating an environment that is healthy, productive, and transparent
  • Lead, mentor, and develop direct reports to put personnel in positions of success for optimal growth and business outcomes
  • Provide role clarity, professional development, goal setting, and opportunities to grow within the organization to direct reports
  • Actively coach and uplevel team members across the broader organization regardless of title or functional grouping
  • Perform other duties, as assigned
Qualified Candidates Are
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field
  • 8+ years of related work experience, ideally in an agency setting and with 5+ years of direct team management experience
  • Expertise in channels or tactics such as experiential/field marketing, creator marketing, partnerships, or media is preferred; experience working with Gen Z audience is a plus
  • Proven ability to build rapport with and present confidently to leadership, both internally and externally
  • Strong track record of working cross-functionally in an agency or similar setting to deliver premium, measurable results for clients
  • People-centric with outstanding interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to thrive and stay organized in a high-energy environment
  • Creative thinker that is willing to travel ‘outside of the box’ for the right solution(s)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience working with Salesforce, Adobe Creative Suite, and project management tools (Asana, SharePoint, Workday, etc.) a plus

Base salary range: ($110,000 - $120,000), plus bonus potential if applicable for role. Actual base salary is dependent on several factors including but not limited to; market dynamics, location and region, experience, specialized skills/training (education), level of responsibility, budgetary considerations, tenure at the company (for current employees), etc. The salary range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Compensation decisions are dependent on circumstances of each role.
