Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Reporting to the VP/GM, plays a pivotal role in building an Omni Channel business across a mix of existing and emerging retail partners, driving the integration of brick & mortar and online into one consistent omnichannel customer experience. Responsible for the development and collaboration on end-to-end strategy, planning, and execution across all retail & Net deliverables.
  2. Responsible for delivering on brand account strategies and account performance to support growth and gain market share while partnering with Marketing, Sales, Education, Creative, Finance, Sales Operations.
  3. Partner with Marketing to develop assortment strategy and translate global frameworks into locally relevant assortment guidelines by channel.
  4. Deep understanding of retailer dynamics (e.g., account dynamics and competitors’ actions) and local market nuances to provide input on product/category/merchandising/event opportunities, competitive landscape, consumer demographics, and localization opportunities.
  5. Develops a full calendar of tailored objectives for retailer and retailer.com, leveraging overall brand category and marketing objectives.
  6. Maintains sxs of retailer and branded events and activations to leverage for sales updates/commentary.
  7. Has strong retailer relationships to drive growth and scale within accounts.
  8. Drive integration of brick & mortar and retailer.com into one consistent omnichannel customer experience.
  9. Ensures strong visual presence in store, local market, and R.com (e.g., outposts, OOH ads, merchandising).
  10. Ensures that the right marketing activities (in-store, co-op, digital/social, etc.) support events, promos, and other brand activities.
  11. Partner with Marketing to generate marketing calendar and plans for co-op campaigns and post-campaign measurement. Deploy a digitally first mindset to support ecommerce marketing programs.
  12. Partner with Field teams and education to communicate goals and changes.

Financial

  1. Owns key P&L items for the account and determines spend to maximize ROI and sales; held to monthly targets (retail sales, net sales, co-op, demo, freelance, promo, GWP, sets, capex) and shapes the execution of these items at the retailer.
  2. Participates in the LE process, including Retail Sales & Gross Shipments, returns, and other financial estimates. Responsible for input on sales plans, explanation of variances, and identifying R&O’s to plan.
  3. Negotiates seasonal stock and sales plans alongside planner that drives data input for the development of the net and retail sales estimate.
  4. Leverage internal sales trends, market and consumer trends, and develop accurate estimates for future sales by category and key subcategory.
  5. Reviews account P&Ls seasonally in partnership with VP Sales & Finance team to analyze outliers/ensure more profitable & productive doors.
  6. Negotiates overall demo (including freelance) investment with retailer and monitors productivity/effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years relevant experience in prestige beauty/fragrance, department stores, or sales/retail business development are required.
  • Proven track record of successful relationship building; strong business acumen and financial ability.
  • Extensive business experience, financial skills (i.e., P&L management, main drivers of business, savvy with standard business analyses) and analytical thinking.
  • Drives monthly gross shipment and sales plans for account responsibility as well as key financial and inventory metrics.
  • Strategic thinker and able to lay out a cohesive and clearly articulated strategy to drive the brand.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation-based communication skills required.
  • Strong project management capabilities with extreme attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Domestic travel required within US.

Pay Range

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $120,550.00 to $208,200.00. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and location. The role also includes participation in a bonus program and share incentive plan. The company offers various benefits including health insurance, wellness programs, retirement plans, paid leave, and more.
