Spark Academy in Wilmington, NC seeks a Director of Early Childhood Education to lead a 5-star center serving infants to Pre-K. The role focuses on educational excellence, family relations, and compliant operations while guiding a professional teaching team on a daily basis.

The Director will collaborate with Beacon Education to manage admissions, staffing, budget, and regulatory requirements, ensuring a nurturing learning environment and strong community partnerships.

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina Level III Administrator Credential or higher.
• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, Human Services, or related field preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in early childhood education administration or center leadership.
• Strong knowledge of North Carolina child care licensing requirements and early childhood best practices.
• Experience supervising, coaching, and developing early childhood educators.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and daily oversight of the center and its operations.
• Ensure the center meets the standards of a 5-star early childhood program.
• Lead staff performance expectations and classroom quality.
• Develop efficient daily operations, staffing, communication, and admin functions.
• Maintain a safe, organized, welcoming environment.
• Work with Beacon Education to align center operations with organizational goals.
• Partner with nonprofit teams on admissions, HR, operations, and finance.
