Job summary

The Hope Centers in Wexford, PA is seeking a determined Education professional to serve as Academy Director. You will build relationships with families, lead a team of education professionals, and help staff grow and succeed in their roles.

You will drive academy performance, ensure compliance with standards, supervise staff across Hope Academy locations, and maintain clear, consistent communication with faculty, parents, and students in line with Hope's policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or related field is required.
• Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or related field preferred.
• State required PA certifications in Special Education.
• Experience supervising education staff in a school setting.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental delays.

Responsibilities

• Drive Academy Performance by setting goals with best practices.
• Ensure compliance with professional standards and regulations.
• Lead the team across Hope Academy locations, with monthly progress check-ins.
• Communicate with faculty, staff, parents, and students per policies.

About the Role

We're looking for a determined, enthusiastic Education professional to step into the Academy Director role. You'll build relationships with families, lead a team of education professionals, and help staff grow and succeed in their roles.

What You'll Do

• Drive Academy Performance — Guide goal-setting by integrating current education and special education best practices
• Ensure Compliance — Keep services aligned with professional standards and state/federal regulatory requirements
• Lead Your Team — Supervise, manage, and evaluate education staff across Hope Academy locations, including monthly check-in visits to monitor student progress and compliance
• Communicate & Connect — Maintain regular, effective communication with faculty, staff, parents, and students, documenting in line with Hope's policies and procedures
• Other responsibilities as assigned

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Special Education, or related field (required)
• Master’s Degree in Education, Special Education, or related field (preferred)
• Pennsylvania Special Education Training certification
• Supervisory experience in a school setting
• Experience working with individuals with developmental delays

Clearances & Training Required

• Act 33 PA Child Abuse History Clearance
• Act 34 PA State Criminal History Clearance
• Act 114 FBI Clearance (issued by the Dept of Education)
• Act 126 Mandated Reporter Training Certificate
• Act 168 (from previous employers where you had contact with children)
• State License of Practice and/or Certification
• CPR/First Aid
• TB Test/Physical
