Job summary

Future, a Primoris Company, is seeking an experienced directional drill operator for telecom conduit installation and underground utility work in Florida. You will coordinate with the drill locator and field crews to maintain bore paths, read prints, and ensure safe clearances on active sites.

Responsibilities include equipment setup, routine maintenance, and reporting of production progress and safety issues.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of directional drilling or underground utility construction experience preferred.
• Experience operating HDD equipment around utilities.
• Ability to read construction prints, utility maps, and locate markings in the field.
• Strong communication and teamwork with drill locators and field crews.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred for assigned equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate directional drill rigs and underground telecom installations.
• Review prints, bore routes, permits, and job requirements before drilling.
• Coordinate with drill locator and crew to maintain bore path and safe clearances.
• Perform equipment setup, inspections, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
• Monitor drilling conditions, tooling, fluids, and production progress; report changes.
• Follow safety requirements and customer construction standards.
• Assist with rod handling, potholing, conduit installation, site setup, cleanup.
• Complete daily production and equipment documentation; report issues promptly.
