Job summary

Superior Pipeline Services is seeking a Directional Drilling Operator to lead the setup and execution of drilling operations for underground conduit projects. You will work with the Outside Plant Supervisor, Locator and Laborers to complete tasks from start to finish on outside plant projects.

The role requires operating HDD equipment, potholing assistance, hand hole setting, and adherence to safety and DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of horizontal directional drilling experience.
• Strong knowledge of underground utilities.
• Working knowledge of DOT regulations.
• Ability to read and follow client specifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate Horizontal Directional Drill.
• Assist potholing and remediation.
• Assist with setting hand holes and tie-ins.
• Drive equipment to job site.
• Confirm bore path with locator/lead.
• Set up drilling equipment and supports.
• Drill along the predetermined path to the exit pit.
• Monitor safety and perform pre/post inspections.
• Complete required paperwork and reports.
• Ensure quality checks after each job.
