Job summary

TelCom Construction, LLC is seeking a Telecom Drill Bores Operator to operate drill equipment and install underground telecommunications cables and infrastructure.

You’ll determine bore paths, safely run equipment, verify utilities by potholing, and maintain a bore schedule while adapting to all weather.

This role requires a valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement, a US work authorization, and a HS diploma or equivalent; we offer weekly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• Valid state driver’s license with clean record.
• Class A CDL with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it.
• Experience with drilling equipment, including capabilities and setup processes.

Responsibilities

• Determine bore path and locate utilities.
• Safely operate and control drilling equipment to complete tasks.
• Verify utilities by potholing to confirm bore path.
• Maintain bore schedule and plan work timelines.
• Site set-up, clean-up, and equipment maintenance.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.

What You’ll Do

• Determine bore path and locate utilities
• Safely operate and control all necessary equipment to complete assigned tasks
• Verify existing utilities by potholing to determine bore path
• Utilize “Mud” mixing systems
• Develop and maintain a bore schedule
• Responsible for site set-up, clean-up, and equipment maintenance
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Valid Class A Commercial driver's license with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it
• Experience with drilling equipment, including their capabilities, limitations, and drill setup and design processes

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level, in confined space and remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse

The wage range for Directional Drill Operator TelCom is $24.00 - $35.00.
