Job summary

PUSH, Inc. is seeking a CDL Directional Drill Operator/Locator (HDD) to install underground utilities using HDD trenchless methods. You will operate the HDD rig, read prints, and mentor teammates while working in outdoor environments across rural and urban sites.

Must have a valid Class A CDL, pass screenings, and be able to travel for extended periods. This is a field-based role with competitive pay and benefits, backed by a long-standing contractor known for reliability.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A required and driving record must pass pre-employment checks.
• Experience operating Horizontal Directional Drilling around utilities in varied environments.
• Ability to read prints and schematics and train/mentor teammates.
• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate HDD equipment for cable/utility installation.
• Ensure proper steering and alignment based on job prep and specs.
• Maintain bore profile plots and provide drilling data to customers.
• Adhere to safety procedures and attend mandatory safety meetings.
• Inspect and maintain equipment; perform routine maintenance and minor repairs.
• Read utility locates and coordinate day lighting of facilities.
• Assist with all job duties and ensure site setup/cleanup including traffic control.
