Job summary

PUSH, Inc. is seeking a CDL Directional Drill Operator/Locator (HDD) to install fiber, copper, coaxial cables and power utilities using HDD trenchless methods. Must read prints/schematics, train others, and work outdoors in varied weather. Travel away from home is required.

Experience with HDD around utilities in rural/urban areas and with Vermeer or Ditch Witch units is preferred. 100% field work with safety compliance and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• Experience with Horizontal Directional Drilling around utilities.
• Ability to read prints and schematics.
• Ability to train and mentor other team members.
• Must pass pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Operates HDD equipment for underground cable installations.
• Ensure proper steering based on job prep and projections.
• Operate machinery to conform to grade alignment specifications.
• Maintain bore profile plots and provide data to customers.
• Follow safety procedures and attend safety meetings.
• Inspect and maintain equipment; perform routine maintenance.
• Read utility locates and coordinate day lighting of facilities.
• Assist with all aspects of the job and basic labor tasks.
• Setup and cleanup of work site, including traffic/pedestrian control.
