Job summary

CableCom, LLC is hiring a Directional Drill Operator for field work in Snohomish, WA. This full-time, hourly role involves installing underground telecommunications cables using directional drilling equipment.

You will determine bore paths, locate utilities, operate equipment safely, develop bore schedules, and perform site setup and maintenance in all weather conditions. CDL with tanker or willingness to obtain is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with drilling equipment, including capabilities and drill setup.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• Valid Class A Commercial driver's license with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Determine bore path and locate utilities.
• Safely operate and control all necessary equipment to complete assigned tasks.
• Verify existing utilities by potholing to determine bore path.
• Utilize “Mud” mixing systems.
• Develop and maintain a bore schedule.
• Responsible for site set-up, clean-up, and equipment maintenance.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Valid Class A Commercial driver's license with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it
• Experience with drilling equipment, including their capabilities, limitations, and drill setup and design processes

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level, in confined space and remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse

The wage range for Directional Drill Operator is$25.00 - $32.00.
