Job summary

Sellenriek Construction is seeking an experienced Directional Drill Operator for projects based in Jonesburg, MO. The role focuses on operating directional drills on underground utility projects, reading bore plans, and maintaining safety around utilities.

CDL is highly preferred, with travel possible for multiple project sites. Responsibilities include bore setup, drilling, reaming, pullback, and restoration, plus operating auxiliary equipment as needed.

# Directional Drill OperatorJonesburg, MO 63351; Columbia, MO 65202; Montgomery City, MO 63361; St Louis, MO 63101## OverviewPosition TypeFull Time## Directional Drill Operator**Directional Drill Operator – Jonesburg, MO**Sellenriek Construction is hiring an experienced Directional Drill Operator for work based out of Jonesburg, MO.This role is ideal for someone with strong HDD experience who is comfortable operating independently, working around existing utilities, and assisting with all phases of directional drilling projects.**Responsibilities:*** Operate directional drills on underground utility projects* Assist with bore setup, drilling, reaming, pullback, and restoration* Read and follow prints, bore plans, utility markings, and job layouts* Work safely around existing underground utilities* Perform potholing and assist with excavation as needed* Complete basic equipment inspections and preventative maintenance* Operate additional equipment such as mini excavators, skid steers, backhoes, and trenchers as needed**Requirements:*** Previous HDD/directional drilling experience required* CDL highly preferred* Experience with Vermeer and/or Ditch Witch equipment preferred* Strong understanding of underground utility construction and jobsite safety* Ability to work Monday–Friday, approximately 10-hour days* Ability to travel occasionally based on project needs**Benefits:*** 90% employer-paid health insurance* 401(k)* PTO* Apparel allowance* Per diem when traveling
