Job summary

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) seeks a part-time Subject Matter Expert to support the PEO IWS Directed Energy PAPM on ongoing development, testing, and fielding of directed energy systems. You will keep program leadership up to date with the latest developments and analyze applicable S&T research for future Navy DE missions.

You may work remotely or from SPA's office in Washington, DC, with travel required up to 5–10% as needed to support program activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in STEM field; MS preferred.
• 10+ years of development, testing, and analysis of directed energy weapons systems.
• DoD Secret clearance or higher and ability to maintain clearance.

Responsibilities

You will provide part-time Subject Matter Expertise (SME) support to the PEO IWS Directed Energy (DE) PAPM on ongoing development, testing, and fielding of DE systems. You will keep program leadership current with the latest developments, including developments that could be critical to future Navy DE weapon system programs. You will represent the program to the Science and Technology (S&T) communities and expertly analyze applicability of DE S&T research for appropriate DE weapon missions and infusing advanced technology into PEO IWS programs.

You have the ability to work remote or from SPA's office at 20 M St. in Washington, D.C., however you must be able to travel up to 5-10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in STEM field of study; MS is preferred
• 10+ years of demonstrated expertise with the development, testing, and analysis of the capabilities and performance of directed energy (laser, high-powered microwave) weapons systems
• DoD Secret clearance or higher and the ability to maintain clearance throughout employment
