Job summary

00 RHA Health Services, LLC in Salisbury/Cleveland NC is seeking a Direct Support Supervisor (IDD Team Leader) to oversee a small team in residential settings. This full-time role pays $20.00 per hour, with a Monday–Friday 9am–5pm schedule and on-call every other weekend.

You will supervise two or more Direct Support Professionals, participate in interviews, assist with training, and ensure safety and compliance in living environments. CPR/First Aid and a valid driver's license are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; health-related degree preferred.
• Experience with individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities ideal.
• CPR and first aid certification preferred; background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of two or more employees.
• Interviewing, hiring recommendations, and staff training.
• Plan, assign, and direct work; review performance and motivate team.
• Manage residential homes/facilities and coordinate DSP activities.
• Ensure training compliance and cover on-call rotations as needed.
• Conduct performance reviews and address employee issues.
• Maintain clean, safe living environments for people supported.

Type: Regular

RATE OF PAY: $20.00 / Hour

Schedule: FULL-TIME, Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm, on-call every other weekend

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for direct supervision of two or more employees.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
• Responsibilities include interviewing, recommendations for hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; reviewing performance; rewarding, motivating, and promoting team performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Manages residential homes/facilities as assigned
• Supervises and coordinates activities of Direct Support Employees
• Works assigned time in the residential home/facility
• Resolve employee issues and conduct performance reviews
• Ensure employees meet training requirements and attend required events
• Provide after-hours and on-call coverage as part of the direct care rotation
• Monitoring and providing feedback to employees in interactions and relationships with the people supported
• Ensures that people supported have a clean and maintained home and yard.
• Responsible for helping to implement services and supports that will assist the people we support achieve personal goals and desired outcomes as identified through an Individual Support Plan.
• Carry out the responsibilities of a Direct Support Professional
• All other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D required, Associate Degree in a health related area; or two years' experience in a health related field preferred
• One year of experience working with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities
• Flexible schedule and availability to provide on-call coverage as needed
• Provide CPR after certification
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
• Valid driver's license
• CPR, first aid, NCI and/or MedTech certification, a plus
• Complete criminal background
• Name checked in the registries. (OIG exclusions database, Child Abuse Registry, and Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities)
• Drug testing
• Education verification and other credentialing based on position requirements.
• Proof of employment history or references (if required)
• Positions that require driving Proof of driver's license, driver's insurance, and vehicle, IF required for providing transportation for individuals.
