Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC is seeking a Direct Support Supervisor - ICF in Virginia. The role involves guiding supports, accompanying clients to programs, and ensuring safe medication practices while fostering independence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, Associate Degree in a health related area, or two years’ experience in a health related field.
• Valid driver’s license and automotive insurance (if required for transportation).
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.; lift a minimum of 50 lbs.; pull minimum of 50 lbs.
• Physical ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs.; lift 30 lbs. regularly.
• Willingness to travel and transport clients where needed.
• Pass background check and drug screen; CPR/First Aid/NCI and/or MedTech certification a plus.
• Patient, compassionate, nurturing, and calm demeanor in stressful situations.
• Experience with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities preferred.
• Comfortable in stressful situations.
• Ability to dispense medication and monitor dosages.
• Strong communication skills; helps clients communicate needs and requests.

Responsibilities

• Help implement services and supports to assist clients in achieving personal goals and desired outcomes as identified through Individual Support Plans.
• Accompany clients to day programs, work sites, and community activities.
• Dispense medication, monitor dosages, and make notes in charts in accordance with training.
• Assist with food preparation and house cleaning.
• Help clients identify and acquire valued social roles and healthy personal/social habits.
• Continuously assess client functional levels, motivate and provide reinforcement, assessments, and feedback for all learning activities.
• Provide opportunities for choice and encourage clients to exercise control over themselves and their environment.
• Support clients at vocational sites to help meet responsibilities.
• Transport and accompany clients to and from day programs, work sites, and community activities.

Payrate: $16.00.

• Complete criminal background check and name check in registries.
• Drug testing and education verification as per position requirements.
• Provide CPR after certification, first aid, and other required certifications.
