Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking a Direct Support Professional V at Four Rivers - Residential Care in Richmond, TX. This role oversees daily operations, supervises DSP staff, and ensures high-quality care and documentation for residents with developmental or physical disabilities.

The DSP V role requires leadership, adherence to clinical and regulatory standards, and the ability to coordinate care with other disciplines.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years’ experience working with people with developmental or physical disabilities is required.
• Experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations and delivery of quality programs and services.
• Arranges work schedules to ensure adequate supervision/coverage.
• Hires, trains and supervises DSPs and promotes professional growth.
• Ensures care, treatment, training, and support activities are completed and documented.
• Provides guidance to staff for working with individuals with challenging behaviors.
• Maintains a safe and sanitary living environment and follows infection control and risk management policies.
