Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC in New Rochelle, NY is seeking a Direct Support Supervisor to lead a care team in residential settings. You will supervise two or more staff, hire and train personnel, and ensure high-quality supports per Individual Support Plans.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise two or more employees and plan work assignments.
• Interview, hire recommendations, and training for staff; conduct reviews.
• Provide on-call coverage and after-hours support.
• Monitor staff performance and ensure training requirements are met.
• Maintain clean, safe residential homes and coordinate supports per plans.

Responsible for direct supervision of two or more employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, recommendations for hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; reviewing performance; rewarding, motivating, and promoting team performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

• PAY- $20.00/HOUR
• SCHEDULE- SHIFTS VARY BASED ON LOCATION AND AS NEEDED IN GROUP HOME MONDAY-FRIDAY WKS VARY 8AM-5PM

Job Responsibilities:

• Manages residential homes/facilities as assigned
• Supervises and coordinates activities of Direct Support Employees
• Works assigned time in the residential home/facility
• Resolve employee issues and conduct performance reviews
• Ensure employees meet training requirements and attend required events
• Provide after-hours and on-call coverage as part of the direct care rotation
• Monitoring and providing feedback to employees in interactions and relationships with the people supported
• Ensures that people supported have a clean and maintained home and yard.
• Responsible for helping to implement services and supports that will assist the people we support achieve personal goals and desired outcomes as identified through an Individual Support Plan.

• All other duties as assigned
• Responsible for direct supervision of two or more employees.

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D required, Associate Degree in a health related area; or two years’ experience in a health related field preferred
• One year of experience working with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities
• Flexible schedule and availability to provide on-call coverage as needed
• Provide CPR after certification
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
• Valid driver’s license
• CPR, first aid, NCI and/or MedTech certification, a plus

Pre-employment screening:

• Complete criminal background
• Name checked in the registries. (OIG exclusions database, Child Abuse Registry, and Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities)
• Drug testing
• Education verification and other credentialing based on position requirements.
• Proof of employment history or references (if required)
• Positions that require driving Proof of driver's license, driver's insurance, and vehicle, IF required for providing transportation for individuals.
