Job summary

The Arc of San Diego is seeking Direct Support Substitutes to assist adults with disabilities in a day center setting in Chula Vista. You will help clients build independence, participate in meaningful activities, and develop essential life skills in a supportive environment.

This substitute role has flexible hours and days based on business needs, and prior experience with disabilities is preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish and Therap software experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months of experience working with individuals with disabilities.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support clients in learning life, social, and personal care skills.
• Assist with daily needs including feeding, toileting, and mobility.
• Lead engaging group and individual activities.
• Document progress and maintain accurate case records.
