Job summary

Community Options, Inc. in Lincoln Park, New Jersey, is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP), Caregivers and Direct Care Staff for full-time, part-time or PRN roles. No experience required— paid training provided.

Starting pay is $18.00 per hour, with benefits and opportunities for growth in a supportive nonprofit environment. You will provide person-centered care, assist with daily routines, monitor health needs, and support individuals in community activities in a compliant, respectful

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to build supportive relationships with individuals receiving supports.
• Calm, good judgment in crisis situations.
• Criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry and drug checks required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Assist with daily routines including cooking, cleaning, feeding and hygiene.
• Monitor health needs and report concerns promptly.
• Support learning of independent and community-based skills.
• Participate in community, social and recreational activities.
• Escort to medical appointments and community activities.
• Ensure accurate program documentation and billing records.
