Step By Step, Inc. in Philadelphia is seeking Direct Support Staff to work in South West Philadelphia on evenings and weekends.

You will assist adults with daily living activities, implement care plans, support independence, and monitor health and behavior in a team setting. Qualifications include 18+, valid driver’s license, HS diploma or GED, and ability to pass First Aid/CPR and medication administration training.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
• Must be able to provide First Aid and CPR when needed.
• Complete medication administration training as required.
• Ability to work well in a cohesive team.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and mobility.
• Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs and preferences.
• Engage individuals in social and recreational activities to promote independence and quality of life.
• Monitor health and behavior changes and report concerns to staff.
• Document progress toward goals and overall care in daily records.
