Job summary

People Inc. is hiring Direct Support Professionals in the United States (New York). The role supports individuals daily, promoting independence and inclusion through activities, personal care, and community participation.

There are full-time and part-time shifts available, including day, evening, overnight, and weekend hours. A 6-month provisionary period applies before hourly rate adjustments to $20/hr.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend plans and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Respect confidentiality and maintain a caring attitude toward the person served and families.
• Plan and implement meaningful daily activities and personal care tasks.
• Ensure health and safety of each person served.
• Safely transport individuals when approved to drive.
• Perform daily site cleaning, food preparation and laundry as needed.
• Record time worked and complete required documentation as per agency standards.
