Job summary

Addus HomeCare in Butler, TN seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to help seniors and people with disabilities live independently. You'll follow care plans, provide essential personal care, and assist with daily tasks in a flexible, entry-level role with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of in-home care experience.
• Pass a criminal background check is required.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions; work with limited supervision.
• Good communication, reliability, motivation, and organization.

Responsibilities

• Follow a care plan for the member and report on completed tasks.
• Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Support routine house cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
• Transport members to appointments, daily errands, and other locations as necessary.
• Assist member with self-administration of medications (no administering or measuring).
• Observe and report any changes in member's condition.
