Job summary

Addus HomeCare in Arlington, Tennessee is seeking an entry-level Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support seniors and individuals with disabilities at home. The position offers flexible hours and the chance to learn quality home care within a growing organization.

You will follow care plans, assist with personal care, transport to appointments, and participate in daily tasks, with benefits including daily/weekly pay, travel reimbursement, and direct deposit.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of in-home care experience.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation with valid driver’s license and insurance.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Comfortable using electronic devices.

Responsibilities

• Follow a care plan for the member and report on completed tasks.
• Observe and report any changes in member's condition.
• Assist member with the self-administration of medications (no administering or measuring).
• Transport member to appointments, daily errands, and other locations as necessary.
• Support routine house cleaning, laundry, and assist with meal preparation.
• Assist people with personal care (bathing, dressing, etc.)
