Job summary

Alluma in Crookston, MN is seeking a Direct Support Specialist for part-time evening shifts to support individuals with mental health needs in daily living activities and community inclusion.

Under supervision of a mental health practitioner, you will help with meals, transportation, and activities, while documenting progress and following safety protocols.

A high school diploma is required; weekend/evening shifts and differential pay are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must pass MN DHS NetStudy background check.
• Access to a personal vehicle if required.
• Valid driver’s license and insurance if required.
• No substance use problems for at least 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide services per client’s treatment plan and assist with daily living activities.
• Lead activities and social skills training to promote engagement.
• Support clients in managing stress and building positive relationships.
• Monitor changes in behavior, mood, or health and report concerns.
• Support medication administration and encourage adherence.
• Maintain a safe environment per policies and safety protocols.
• Document client care and progress accurately.
• Prepare meals during shifts and follow menu.
• Escort clients to appointments and transport when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
