Job summary

The Center for Family Support in New Jersey is seeking Direct Support Professionals who are passionate about helping others and protecting the rights of individuals with developmental disabilities. DSPs provide compassionate support to empower people in daily activities and community participation.

You will work with a dedicated team to implement person-centered plans, foster friendships, and promote independence. Both full-time and part-time positions are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license preferred, depending on program needs.
• Some experience in healthcare or human services is a plus.

• Help individuals form and maintain positive relationships in the community.
• Respect the rights of the people we support and empower them to speak up.
• Apply person-centered philosophy in daily moments.

• Protect the health of the people you support and follow medical guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with the team to develop and implement service plans.
• Ensure safety as described in the service plan and report hazards.
• Follow agency procedures regarding incident reporting and investigations.
• Be polite and professional when talking to all others.
