Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC in Neshaminy, PA is hiring a Direct Support Professional for full-time, Tue–Sat, 3:00 pm–11:00 pm. You will support individuals with disabilities and those facing mental health and substance use challenges.

You will help with daily living, transportation, community engagement, and documentation while promoting independence and person-centered planning. A HS diploma and valid driver’s license are required; CPR training may be provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; at least 18 years old with valid driver's license.
• Must meet pre-employment screening and be compassionate and person-centered.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to foster independence with appropriate support.
• Knowledge of disability rights, self-advocacy, and community integration.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and follow regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for individuals’ human, legal, and civil rights.
• Promote health and safety by supporting wellness and accident prevention.
• Encourage self-advocacy and empower individuals in making choices.
• Facilitate community engagement by accompanying individuals to work, activities, events.
• Teach and support independent living skills, including household management.
• Provide transportation for appointments, errands, and activities.
• Foster social connections by supporting relationships in the community.
• Support informed decision-making regarding living arrangements and employment.
• Assist with personal care tasks, such as hygiene and dressing.
• Maintain accurate documentation of provided services and support.
• Address challenges faced by individuals with disabilities with advocacy.
• Connect individuals with community resources for development and education.
• Encourage effective communication, adapting to needs and preferences.
• Assist with medication administration per state laws.
• Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards.
