Job summary

Sevita's REM Community Services in Brainerd, MN is hiring Direct Support professionals to assist individuals with developmental disabilities in daily living and community activities.

You'll work varied evening and weekend shifts with pay of $21.65 per hour, need a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Full benefits for full-time staff and a supportive team culture are offered.

Qualifications

• Education: No high school diploma or equivalent required for direct support role.
• Experience: Six months in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
• Skills: Communication, adaptability, multi-tasking, teamwork, time-management.
• Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible.
• Vehicle: Valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist people with personal hygiene and support individuals with behavioral challenges and other complex needs.
• Help participants with budgeting, exercise, and nutrition as part of developmental goals.
• Foster rewarding relationships and help participants be part of the community.
