Job summary

Easter Seals Goodwill ND, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist adults and children with disabilities, helping them achieve personal goals and live more independently.

You will support daily living, safety, health, and community engagement as part of ESGWND’s person-centered mission. Responsibilities include building social networks, maintaining health and home routines, and advocating for dignity and choice within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Interest or experience in supporting people with disabilities.
• Ability to work in a team or independently to complete tasks.
• Commitment to a drug-free, non-violent environment for people served and staff.
• Age 16 or older.
• Background investigation requirements may apply; driver’s license may be required.
• Willingness to meet program needs and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support people to realize their goals and personal outcomes.
• Help develop and maintain a social support network for individuals.
• Support family connections and community involvement.
• Maintain home, health, and well-being for those served.
• Help access community resources and direct services.
• Support informed choices and self-advocacy in all life areas.
• Ensure a safe living and working environment free of abuse or exploitation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Advocate for dignity and respectful interactions within the community.
