Job summary

Northeast Arc in Peabody, MA is hiring Direct Support Professionals for the 2nd shift to provide quality living supports in residential programs and communities.

You will assist individuals with daily living, document care, support community participation, and follow safety protocols. Valid driver’s license and CPR/FA & MAP certifications are required, along with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential Direct Support Care preferred (1 year).
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and assist with transfers.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support the clinical and social needs of individuals in residential settings.
• Document accurately in logs, health records, daily data books, and safety logs as required.
• Facilitate meaningful community experiences to build skills and independence.
• Provide hands-on support at home including transfers, bathing, grooming, and dining protocols.
• Administer medications per policy and assist with doctor appointments and on-call nursing as needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to safety plans and staffing ratios.
