Autism Services of Mecklenburg County seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide training, assistance, supervision, and person-centered support to adults with IDD, autism, and/or TBI in a group home setting.

The DSP helps individuals develop skills for home and community living, personal care, recreation, employment, communication, and independence, while upholding dignity, safety, choice, and self-sufficiency.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Experience with individuals with IDD or autism is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Provide training and support designed to promote independence and self-sufficiency.
• Monitor and document resident health, behavior, and safety.
• Follow individual plans of care and behavioral support plans.
• Ensure confidentiality and effective communication with staff and families.
