Job summary

Legends Residential Care in Tucson, AZ seeks empathetic Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with developmental disabilities in daily living and skill-building. You will support independence, plan schedules, and provide hands-on guidance while maintaining safety and confidentiality.

The role requires long shifts including overnight supervision, excellent communication, and teamwork. Training and ongoing meetings are provided; background checks and a fingerprint clearance card are

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Obtain and maintain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Must pass criminal background checks.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Three references. Two (2) professional.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities in living skills and independence.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene needs.
• Plan member appointments and organize transportation requirements.
• Shop for groceries and help prepare meals.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment in assigned house.
• Encourage engagement in social networks and communities.
• Provide crisis intervention and redirection when needed.
• Attend Legends meetings and training programs.
• Support members 24/7, including overnight supervision.
