Job summary

Community Resources for Independence (CRI) in the Williamsport area is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) and Personal Care Assistants (PCA) to support individuals in living independently with dignity and joy. You will assist with daily living tasks, accompany clients to community activities, and help them participate in appointments and errands.

CRI offers flexible schedules across locations, paid training, mentoring, 24/7 supervisor support, mileage reimbursement, and retirement

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance.
• Must pass background checks and clearances.
• Availability to work every other weekend and holidays; on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with light housekeeping, meals, and personal care tasks.
• Join clients on walks and community activities.
• Accompany clients to appointments, shopping, or other errands as needed.
• Help empower people to live independently and be part of the community.
• Support IDD clients in reaching goals outlined in their Service Plan.
• Facilitate community integration and skill-building activities.
• Encourage independence, dignity, and daily living choices.

What You'll Do

• Assist individuals with light housekeeping, meals, and personal care tasks (we'll help you master these skills)
• Get paid to join our clients on walks and fun activities in the community

As a Direct Support Processional, You Will

• Support IDD clients in reaching the goals outlined in their Service Plan
• Facilitate community integration, social engagement, and skill-building activities with clients
• Encourage independence, dignity, and choice in daily living
• Accompany clients to appointments when necessary
• Engage in team meetings to share insights about the client's progress
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment through light housekeeping tasks as needed
• Effective communication and empathy are vital for building strong, trusting relationships with those you support

Qualifications

• Must be able to successfully to pass a variety of background checks and clearances
• Availability to work every other weekend, on holidays, and participate in an on-call rotation is required
