Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; age 18+ as per Nevada rules.
• Read, write, hear, understand, and speak English to communicate with clients and colleagues.
• Maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
• Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse individuals.
• Must be able to pass a background check as required by the state of Nevada.
• Health care experience is a plus but not required; training provided.
• Driver's license and automobile insurance a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with activities of daily living such as mobility, transfers, hygiene, and dressing.
• Provide functional skills training in cooking, shopping, and cleaning.
• Offer cognitive skills training including memory, speech, and language reinforcement.
• Monitor client activities at the site.
• Maintain accurate charting and documentation.

Direct Support Professional position overview and responsibilities:

• Provide assistance with activities of daily living - mobility, transfers, hygiene, dressing and related areas.
• Provide functional skills training - assistance / instruction in cooking, shopping, cleaning
• Offer cognitive skills training - memory training, reinforcing speech and language
• Monitor client activities at the site
• Maintain accurate charting/documentation

Direct Support Professional Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED, and a minimum age of 18 (as required by the State of Nevada).
• Read, write, hear, understand, and speak English to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
• Maintain a professional demeanor at all times
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse individuals
• Must be able to pass a background check as required by the state of Nevada
• Previous health care experience a plus but not required – we provide training
• A valid Driver's License and proof of automobile insurance a plus.
