Job summary

Alay Home Care is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in New Jersey to support individuals with developmental disabilities. You will provide hands-on assistance, emotional support, and community engagement to help clients achieve independence.

The role includes ADLs assistance, community activities, and documentation. Valid driver’s license may be required; background checks and drug screening are mandatory. Competitive hourly pay with flexible shifts available.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Must be able to pass background check and drug screening.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation if required.
• Experience in caregiving or DSP role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Support clients in community integration and social activities.
• Administer medication (if certified) and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain progress notes and update care plans.
• Implement individualized care plans to improve independence.
• Ensure a safe and supportive environment for clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming

• Support clients in community integration and social activities

• Administer medication (if certified)

• Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes

• Implement individualized care plans

• Ensure a safe and supportive environment

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

• Previous experience in caregiving, healthcare, or DSP role preferred

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if required)
