Seeking a DSP to provide in‑home and community support to an adult female with disabilities. The DSP must be comfortable assisting with personal care needs, including showering, hair washing and grooming, oral hygiene, and other daily living tasks, while being mindful of her sensitive scalp and facial sensory needs. The DSP must provide line‑of‑sight supervision during meals, cut food into bite‑sized pieces, and offer reminders to chew thoroughly due to a history of choking. Experience supporting individuals with vision impairment, poor depth perception, and fall risks is important, as she requires guidance on stairs and uneven surfaces and assistance with bathing for safety. The DSP must also maintain line‑of‑sight supervision in the community due to a history of wandering away from supports in stores. She communicates verbally but is soft‑spoken and may need additional time to process information, encouragement to speak up, and support with advocating for herself.
