West Family Services LLC is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with special needs at the individual's residence. The role emphasizes patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills while coaching independent living and daily activities.

Responsibilities include assisting with hygiene, meals, medications, budgeting, transportation, and community activities. Both full‑time and part‑time shifts are available at NEW HOUSE locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Patience, empathy and strong interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Helps individual learn to make a budget and complete basic household tasks.
• Providing support and assistance during daily activities.
• Meets with Life Coach to discuss needs of individuals.
• Provides transportation to bowling, the grocery store, and other necessary locations.
• Serves as a companion for the individual who live alone.
• Organizes activities for individual.

This Direct Support Team member skill level will possess the ability to redirect, and demonstrates patience, empathy, strong interpersonal skills, and a detailed knowledge of best care practices.

Position Description

This position provides support for an individual with special needs; coaching individual on independent living, coaching to make wise choices to enhance quality of life and remind him of things to keep him moving in a positive direction.

• Coaches the individual around their home
