Job summary

Chimes is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support individuals with intellectual and behavioral challenges at our Newark, DE location. This role runs Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 9AM–9PM and involves hands-on assistance in daily living activities.

You will follow care plans, document progress, and promote independence in a team-focused environment while receiving paid training and ongoing professional development. On-site position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Disability services experience preferred (training provided).
• Ability to lift, push, or pull 50+ lbs.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with acceptable driving history.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support with kindness and respect.
• Assist with personal care including dressing, toileting, hygiene, feeding, bathing.
• Follow individualized care plans and document progress.
• Administer medications in accordance with policy.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment.
• Use approved behavior support techniques.

What You’ll Do

• Provide hands-on support with kindness and respect

What You Bring

• Experience in disability services preferred (not required—we train!)

• Valid U.S. driver’s license - Meet one of the following driving record requirements? At least 3 years of unsuspended driving history with no more than 3 points, or At least 2 years of unsuspended driving history with a clean driving record
