Job summary

Chimes is hiring a Direct Support Professional in Newark, DE to empower individuals with intellectual and behavioral challenges to live with dignity and independence. The DSP role offers paid training, comprehensive benefits, and a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

You’ll work on-site at our Newark location, supporting daily living activities, documenting progress, and following care plans with compassion and respect.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in disability services preferred but not required – training provided.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull 50+ lbs.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support with kindness and respect.
• Assist with personal care including dressing, toileting, hygiene, feeding, bathing.
• Follow individualized care plans and document progress.
• Administer medications in accordance with policy.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment.
• Use approved behavior support techniques.
• Encourage community engagement and participation.
• Some DSP roles may require travel between Residential and Day programs.
