Job summary

Merakey is hiring Direct Support Professionals to join our Warminster, PA team. The role involves supporting individuals in daily living activities, personal care, and social development while following individualized plans. Training is provided, no experience required, and opportunities for growth exist within a supportive nonprofit environment.

Schedule: 3rd shift Fri-Mon, 12:00am-8:00am, full-time 32 hours/week. Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour with up to $18.00 Enhanced Pay.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• High School diploma/G.E.D. is preferred.
• Experience in a home health aide setting, or school setting working with people who have Intellectual and Developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities and personal care to promote independence.
• Support social and communication skills through engaging activities and routines.
• Follow Individual Support Plans to create meaningful days in various settings.
• Encourage participation in community activities and hobbies.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and encouraging environment for individuals.

Our ideal Direct Support Professional candidate will have a strong desire to create long-term impacts on their consumer's lives and enjoy encouraging, mentoring, and coaching others to achieve their goals. Spend your day in a variety of settings making memories with our individuals. By following the Individual Support Plan, you can enjoy your days at the park and sensory gardens, while working on social and communication skills. Enhancing independence by assisting with daily hygiene and personal care. Foster a true sense of pride in your individual, by teaching them to navigate daily living activities, such as housekeeping and laundry.

No experience required - we provide PAID training.
