Job summary

Merakey is hiring a Direct Support Professional in Warminster, PA. The role involves supporting individuals with daily living activities, personal care, and community participation according to the Individual Support Plan.

Ideal candidates enjoy mentoring others, have a caregiving mindset, and are committed to helping individuals achieve independence on weekends (Saturday and Sunday 8am-4pm).

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Experience in a home health aide setting or school setting with IDD is preferred.
• Desire to help others reach their fullest potential.

Responsibilities

• Follow the Individual Support Plan to support daily living activities.
• Assist with daily hygiene and personal care.
• Teach and model housekeeping and laundry skills to foster independence.
• Engage individuals in social and communication activities and accompany them in community settings.

Position Details

Our ideal Direct Support Professional candidate will have a strong desire to create long-term impacts on their consumer's lives and enjoy encouraging, mentoring, and coaching others to achieve their goals. Spend your day in a variety of settings making memories with our individuals. By following the Individual Support Plan, you can enjoy your days at the park and sensory gardens, while working on social and communication skills. Enhancing independence by assisting with daily hygiene and personal care. Foster a true sense of pride in your individual, by teaching them to navigate daily living activities, such as housekeeping and laundry.

Schedule: Saturday & Sunday 8am-4pm

Earn $16.00/hour
