Job summary

Redwood Family Care Network is seeking Direct Support Professionals in Costa Mesa, CA to assist adults with physical and developmental disabilities in daily living activities, including hygiene, meals and mobility. The role requires supporting IPP/ISP goals and maintaining a safe, supportive environment.

A strong emphasis on safety and thorough documentation is noted, with a sign-on bonus after 90 days. The position offers a competitive hourly rate of $18–$19 and a mix of weekday and weekend

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED, CPR/FA, CPI, DSP 1 & 2 preferred.
• Minimum Experience: 3+ years of professional or personal experience supporting children with developmental disabilities or mental illnesses with challenging behaviors strongly preferred.
• Group Home License preferred; if not must be willing to obtain within the first three months of hire.
• Minimum Driving Experience: Valid in-state driver’s license, over 21, with insurance and clean driving record (no more than 2 points in 3 years).
• Must have Group Home License.
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) preferred or willing to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Must have First Aid / CPR.

Responsibilities

• Assist adults with physical and developmental disabilities in daily living activities.
• Assist with complete care including dietary, hygiene, bathing, grooming and dressing; assist with ADLs.
• Outline and prepare daily routines for clients as written in IPP.
• Support IPP/ISP goals and client social activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and assist with meals and cleanup.
• Report incidents and communicate with administration daily.
