Services for the UnderServed is looking for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide habilitation services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role includes assisting clients with daily living activities, administering medications, and ensuring nutritional needs are met. Candidates should possess a HS Diploma or GED, with preferred experience providing direct services. Located in Hempfield Township, Pennsylvania, the position offers a starting salary of $19.00/hour and various benefits including medical, dental, and transportation plans.
Qualifications
HS Diploma or GED is required; Associate’s Degree is preferred.
One year of experience providing direct services to developmentally disabled persons preferred.
Preferred certifications include AMAP, SCIP‑R, CPR, First Aid.
Responsibilities
Provide habilitation services to each client as prescribed in their service plans.
Assist clients in skill development in activities of daily living.
Administer medication to clients as assigned.
Ensure clients’ nutritional needs are met according to prescribed diet.
Report immediately any deficiencies in providing habilitation services.
