Job summary

Redwood Family Care Network seeks a Direct Support Professional in Shoreline, WA, to provide person-centered supports and community integration for individuals with developmental disabilities. The role involves ensuring daily living needs, transportation, and documentation are managed under supervision.

The successful candidate will become Nurse Assistant Registered (NAR) in time and participate in required training, with compensation at $20.50 per hour for a full-time schedule in

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Minimum Experience: Personal experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities with challenging behaviors strongly preferred.
• Must have a valid in-state driver’s license and be able to provide current car insurance.
• Must be willing to transport clients in their own vehicle.
• All applicants are subject to a background check.

Responsibilities

• Provides support to program participants that meets their needs, provides opportunities for community integration, including swimming, and creates a nurturing, safe, and healthful living environment.
• Ensures that the daily needs of the participants are met, including personal hygiene, food preparation, house cleaning, shopping, and monitoring of health needs, including supervision of medication.
• Assists participants with regularly accessing the community to take part in outings of the participants’ choosing, including transportation arrangements.
• Maintains professional relationships and ensures timely completion of all documentation such as medication logs, shift notes and incident reports.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Program Supervisor or the Site Supervisor and/or the Administrator.
