A respected disability services organization in New York City is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Responsibilities include providing habilitation services, skill development, and medication administration. The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED and experience in the field. Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
One year’s experience providing direct services to developmentally disabled persons preferred.
Preferred certifications: AMAP, SCIP-R, CPR & First Aid.
Responsibilities
Provide habilitation services to clients per individual plans.
Assist with skill development in daily living and socialization.
Administer medication to clients as assigned.
Ensure clients’ nutritional needs are met and assist with feeding.
Report deficiencies or issues with provided services immediately.
