A respected disability services organization in New York City is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Responsibilities include providing habilitation services, skill development, and medication administration. The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED and experience in the field. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year’s experience providing direct services to developmentally disabled persons preferred.
• Preferred certifications: AMAP, SCIP-R, CPR & First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Provide habilitation services to clients per individual plans.
• Assist with skill development in daily living and socialization.
• Administer medication to clients as assigned.
• Ensure clients’ nutritional needs are met and assist with feeding.
• Report deficiencies or issues with provided services immediately.
