Job summary

Pony Bird Inc. is seeking Direct Support Professionals in De Soto, Missouri to enrich the lives of individuals with disabilities. The role offers a starting pay of $19.00 per hour plus differentials, including $2.00 for evenings, $2.50 for midnight shifts, and $2.00 for weekends, along with excellent benefits and paid training.

Shifts include Day 6:45 a.m.–3:15 p.m. and Evening 2:45 p.m.–11:15 p.m.; Overnight 10:45 p.m.–7:15 a.m., with every-other-weekend requirements.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions and problem solve.
• CPR and crisis intervention techniques; paid training provided.
• Light computer skills: data entry and word processing.
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Flexibility to meet the needs of individuals served.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals to reach their full life potential.
• Maintain quality of life with dignity and respect.
• Assist individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADL's) and provide total care supports.
• Encourage independence to the individual’s capacity.
• Serve as a positive role model to promote appropriate adult behavior.
• Provide accurate documentation.
• Adhere to and implement Individual Support Plans.
• Uphold a safe, clean home environment and accreditation standards.
