Job summary

Pony Bird, Inc. is seeking Direct Support Professionals to join our DeSoto area team. We provide comprehensive supports for individuals with disabilities in a supportive environment, with starting pay of $19.00/hour plus $2.00/hour evening and weekend differentials and paid training.

The position requiresHigh School diploma or GED and CPR/crisis intervention training. Flexible to work Day or Evening shifts, and weekend rotation, with a focus on compassionate, respectful care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification and crisis intervention training preferred.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions and problem-solve.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals to reach their full life potential.
• Maintain quality of life with dignity and respect.
• Assist individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and provide total care supports.
• Encourage independence to the individual's capacity.
• Serve as a positive role model to promote appropriate adult behavior.
• Provide accurate documentation and adhere to Individual Support Plans.
• Maintain a safe, clean home environment upholding accreditation standards and regulations.
• Be a team-player who can also work independently and maintain attendance as required.
• Schedule and work location follow Day Shift or Evening Shift hours; work every other weekend.
